About the company: Our client is one of Australia’s largest contracting and project development groups. Established over 50 years ago, the group is now made up of a number of leading Australian companies that currently employ in excess of 11,000 people and carries out projects all around the Asia-pacific region. This particular sector of the group employs in excess of 6000 people and have over $6 billion of projects already secured in the order book. Our clients’ core activities include civil engineering, mining, telecommunications, industrial engineering and infrastructure projects.
About the Role: Our client is seeking Project Managers to work in Perth Western Australia on heavy civils pipelines and water projects. Projects vary from $5 million to $125 million on value and can consist of pipeworks up to 1000km in length or the up grade or new construction of waste water treatment plants. Works will consist of bulk earthworks, RC structures, underground pipelines and all associated civils works. The finished projects will result in an 85% water saving to the geographical Western Australian area.
About the Requirements: Our client is seeking established Project Managers or individuals who are capable of stepping up to this level. A background in the civils sector particularly water and pipelines is essential. People with a hands on work ethic are most welcome to this role. You will require the ability to work remotely and be able to manage a number of work teams at any given time. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential. There will be an element a costings, budgeting and final accounts associated with these roles so all candidates will need to be commercially aware. A proven track record with similar projects and an excellent health & safety record is also vital.
