About the company: Our client has been established for over 70 years and are now a leading player in the mining and construction markets within Australia and in selected international markets. About the Roles: Our client is seeking a Civils Project Manager to work on the civils works package in preparation of the site for the construction of a coal plant. The works consist of 600,000m3 of bulk earthworks, 2 km of access road, bridges, reinforced structures, construction of rail bridges and other associated RC and civils works. You will be managing the site on a daily basis and report directly to the Area Manager.
About the Requirements: The ideal applicants will possess a degree in civil engineering and have previously worked on a remote site. You will have a background in heavy civils projects such as road, bridges and earthworks and will have worked for a contractor. Strong leadership and communication skills will be required to ensure that this challenging project is delivered accurately, on time and within budget. Candidates will also be required to be commercially aware as they get involved in financial costings, budgets and final accounts settlements. The role will be on a fly in fly out roster of 10/4 from Queensland.
