The Client:
Significant organisation experiencing rapid change and expansion. They are based west of Brisbane at Ipswich. This is an ideal work location for those who wish to leave the Brisbane CBD rat race and travel in the opposite direction to the bumper to bumper traffic conditions that Brisbane faces.
The Oracle Database Administrator Role:
Provide high level Oracle database administration, strategic advice and technical troubleshooting. You will also be required analyse and resolve system problems, including testing of software. Assist senior staff to provide quality assurance for all enterprise systems and associated services ensuring documentation is at an acceptable standard.
What you need to be successful as an Oracle Database Administrator:
- Tertiary Qualifications or Certificates stating completion of study as a Oracle Certified Professional database Administrator, preferably in Oracle 10g Release 2
- Extensive knowledge of Database Management Systems including installation, implementation, management and support for Oracle based applications hosted on Oracle 10g R2 using Oracle RAC.
- High level of skill in Application database System Support, Tuning and Disaster Recovery Management to optimally maintain databases and corporate applications hosted on these environments e.g. ERP based applications.
- High level of skill in the integration of enterprise information systems. representatives and decision makers.
