The Client:
Significant organisation experiencing rapid change and expansion. They are based west of Brisbane at Ipswich. This is an ideal work location for those who wish to leave the Brisbane CBD rat race and travel in the opposite direction to the bumper to bumper traffic conditions that Brisbane faces.
The SQL Server Database Administrator role:
- Provide high level database administration, strategic advice and technical troubleshooting. Establish and evolve the operational environments and practices (backups, archiving, work procedures). Systems performance and tuning.
- Implementation and upgrading of corporate databases.
- Resolving second level and complex technical database issues and problems. Maintain security of data stored in databases. Play a lead role in providing high level technical advice as required in regard to new databases, and upgrades to existing databases both at an application as well as technical level.
What you need to be successful as an SQL Server Database Administrator:
- Tertiary Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in an environment running SQL Server 2000 or greater.
- Experience and skills in any of data warehouse design, VB.NET development, and report development tools will be favourable considered. High level of skills in the integration of enterprise information systems.
